Objectives:
To collaborate with the Cork County Council (CCC) in providing information
about rubbish to people in the area.
To investigate the provision of recycling facilities.
To work with local and national government in providing a cleaner environment.
Success to date:
Meetings were held with Cork County Council officials regarding the changing
rubbish collection routes and rules. An information notice was posted following
an initial meeting with CCC. The revised route can be seen below.
Contacts have been made with CCC officials in County Hall regarding the provision
of recycling bins for Kilcrohane. The CCC will provide and service the bins,
however, the Community Council must provide a suitable site. The sub-committee
is currently investigating sites in Kilcrohane.
This is work is ongoing.
